What the qualifying list means for you
Qualification is provisional. The commission checks eligibility later, and candidature can be cancelled even after an appointment letter is issued. Do not treat a place in the list as the end of the process.
Prelims marks are also not added to the final merit list. Your rank depends on the written papers and the Personality Test. So the prelims is a gate, and the real marks are earned in the Final Written Examination.
Final Written Examination: what is known so far
WBPSC has not announced the date. It says the schedule will be published on its website shortly. Keep checking the official site.
The Final Written Examination has compulsory and optional papers. Each paper is of 100 marks and three hours. To stay in the race, candidates must also reach a minimum aggregate.
Category | Minimum Aggregate |
UR | 40% |
EWS | 40% |
OBC A & B | 38% |
SC | 35% |
ST | 30% |
PwBD | 30% |
With the date still open, start your Mains routine now. Answer writing, revision from your Judiciary Notes and timed Mock Test papers will serve you well whenever the schedule arrives.
Keep these documents ready
Verification takes place before the Personality Test. Candidates who cannot produce original certificates may not be interviewed, and their candidature may be cancelled. Keep the following ready:
• Proof of age
• Academic qualification
