Step 2: Receive Your User ID and Password

•        Name mismatch: enter your name in capital letters exactly as it appears on your Class 10 certificate

•        Applying on the last day: the portal slows down under heavy load in the final 48 hours, and a failed payment at that stage can cost you the entire cycle

•        Choosing exam cities carelessly: treat all three preferences as real choices, not just the first one

•        Claiming a category you cannot document: category, programme and BPL status cannot be changed after final submission
