The SCI Junior Court Assistant Recruitment 2026 application window is open. If you want to apply, check your eligibility and prepare your documents now. The last date is 28 October 2026 at 11:55 pm. Give yourself time to review the form and complete the payment before the portal closes.

This guide explains the notification, eligibility, application fee and online application process. It also gives you the selection scheme and a practical starting point for preparation, so you can finish the paperwork and turn your attention to the tests.

SCI JCA notification and important dates

SCI Junior Court Assistant eligibility

Eligibility is assessed as on 1 September 2026. Indian citizens with a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university in India, computer knowledge and English computer typing speed of at least 35 words per minute may apply, subject to the other notification conditions. The ordinary age range is 18 to 30 years.

A law degree is not specifically required. Read the qualification condition against the degree you actually hold rather than assuming that a Supreme Court recruitment is open only to law graduates.

Age relaxation

Eligible reserved categories receive age relaxation under the applicable rules. Dependents of freedom fighters can receive up to five years; Supreme Court Registry departmental candidates have no upper age limit. Other government employment does not itself confer relaxation under this advertisement.

If you claim relaxation, read the relevant condition in full and check the supporting certificate before you choose your category in the form. Do not use a general age-relaxation chart from a different recruitment.

General or Unreserved

Rs. 1,500

Bank charges are additional and the fee is non-refundable. In particular, eligible OBC Non-Creamy Layer candidates fall in the Rs. 750 fee group. Check the category you have selected before paying.

Save the payment receipt with your application. If a payment attempt is interrupted, inspect the status shown in your account before trying again. Keep a record of the transaction so that you can explain the problem if you need help from the recruitment support channel.

SCI JCA apply online link

Use the application link published by the Supreme Court. The Recruitment Cell’s notice dated 6 October 2026 identifies the following portal for the current application window.

If you reach this blog after the closing date, open the official recruitment page to check whether a later notice has changed the deadline. An old apply-online button may remain visible after an application window ends.

How to fill the SCI Junior Court Assistant application form

Set aside an uninterrupted sitting for the form. Keep your documents open beside you and use an email address and mobile number that you check regularly.

1.      Open sci.gov.in and enter the Recruitments section. Select the Junior Court Assistant 2026 application notice.

2.      Follow the linked portal and complete registration using your own contact details. Save the login information securely.

3.      Enter your personal and educational details by checking them against your certificates.

4.      Select the correct category and fill in any relaxation claim carefully. Review the examination-city choices offered by the portal.

5.      Upload the photograph, signature and supporting documents in the format and size specified on the application page.

6.      Preview the entire form. Read names, dates, degree details and category entries again before final submission.

7.      Complete the online fee payment as directed and check that the application shows the required completion status.

8.      Download the submitted application and payment acknowledgement. Keep them together with your application number.

Do not judge completion only by a bank debit or a registration email. Check the application record itself and save the confirmation that the portal provides.

Documents to keep ready

Create a clearly named folder before you begin. Keep readable scans of these documents available and upload those required for your application:

·        Recent photograph and signature.

·        Class 10, Class 12 and graduation certificates.

·        Category or community certificate, where applicable.

·        Disability certificate, where applicable.

Check that every scan opens properly and that the edges, names and dates are visible. Follow the portal’s upload instructions rather than resizing files by guesswork. Keep your originals available for verification.

Access well-structured judiciary notes covering key legal concepts, important bare acts, and exam-relevant topics to boost your Civil Judge exam preparation.

Salary for Junior Court Assistant

This is a Group B non-gazetted post at Pay Level 6, with starting basic pay of Rs. 35,400 plus allowances. Basic pay is not the same as take-home salary.

Mistakes to avoid before submission

The notification does not permit modification or withdrawal after submission. Use the preview stage to catch errors while you can still correct the entries.

·        Check your name and date of birth against your Class 10 certificate.

·        Confirm that your category claim matches the certificate you will produce.

·        Open every uploaded file to check readability.

·        Review your contact details and examination-city preferences.

·        Save the final application and payment record somewhere you can find them again.

A quick review from the top of the form to the bottom is worthwhile. Read each field as if you are checking someone else’s application. That makes it easier to notice a wrong date or a spelling error you have overlooked.

Prepare for Civil Judge exams with online judiciary courses featuring expert-led classes, focused study materials, practice questions, and exam-oriented guidance.

Start preparation after completing the form

Begin with a timed practice test to identify where you lose marks. Divide your study time between English, aptitude, general knowledge, computer knowledge and the prescribed law and rules. Give the rulebooks their own reading sessions instead of leaving them for the last week.

For typing, practise on a computer every day. Record speed and mistakes together. If your speed rises while accuracy falls, slow down and correct the recurring errors before increasing the pace.

Keep a separate writing session for comprehension, precis and essays. Write within a time limit, then review whether your answer is clear, relevant and grammatically correct. Objective practice alone will not prepare you for the descriptive paper.
